Excellence Fellowship Awarded to Henning for HIV Research
Great news: Henning has received an Excellence Fellowship from the Else Kröner-Fresenius Foundation. The two-year fellowship support his research on antibody-mediated immunity against HIV. Henning’s work focuses on new long-lasting strategies for HIV treatment and prevention—especially approaches that help the body produce antiviral antibodies on its own. In this project, he will explore how adeno-associated viruses (AAV) can be used to deliver gene sequences that enable sustained production of protective antibodies, potentially opening up new options for long-acting therapies against infectious diseases.
