COVIM FUNDING RENEWED FOR THIRD PERIOD

Standardized, precise, high-throughput immunology platforms are essential to answer questions regarding the dynamics of immunity, both on the individual level and nationwide. Furthermore, they are key factors in facilitating high-quality clinical research. The immunity platform of the NUM COVIM (COllaboratiVe IMmunity Platform of the NUM) aims to provide a nationwide platform to facilitate exactly these use cases.

We are proud to announce COVIM has started its third funding period. During this period the project aims to expand to additional locations, reaching a total of 25 collaborating labs. Moreover, binding standards and coordinated processes will be implemented in all collaborating labs to ensure ease of data exchange and collaboration.
COVIM, funded in 2020 as a cooperation between Prof. Dr Leif Erik Sander (Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin) and Prof. Dr Florian Klein (Uniklinik Köln) proved highly successful already in its previous funding periods, resulting in over 100 publications.

To reinforce and support the COVIM coordination team, Dr Lisa Fröhlich and Dr Jonas Goergens were recruited.
We warmly welcome Lisa and Jonas to the team!
