9th DZIF Workshop on Antibody Based Therapies held in Cologne
On September 24, 206, the DZIF working group on the bridging topic of antibody-based therapies held its ninth workshop. Approximately 50 participants gathered at the TRIO building at the invitation of the group’s chair, Prof. Dr. Klein, to discuss the topic “Novel approaches to prevent and treat infectious diseases.”
During two sessions, a variety of presentations were given on the immunopathology of antibodies and the use of artificial intelligence in antibody design. The goal of the interdisciplinary DZIF working group is to advance the development, production, and clinical testing of monoclonal antibodies and thereby bring new drugs to market. Young scientists in the field of antibody research are supported as well.
We relished the deep and spirited discussions and are looking forward to the next workshop.
